MANCHESTER CITY have been dealt a blow in their Premier League title bid after Kyle Walker was forced off with injury against Brazil.
The defender was given the captain’s armband in place of the injured Harry Kane but lasted just 19 minutes.
Walker appeared to injure himself after clearing the ball off the line after Vinicius Jr. poked the ball past Jordan Pickford.
The City star collected the ball calmly before clearing – only to hit the back of Harry Maguire’s head.
The right-back then went to ground during the next break in play and was treated by physios.
He could be seen stretching out his right leg but appeared to be in some discomfort as he lay on the turf.

Walker then walked to the touchline where he sprinted up and down to try and get over his niggle.
But moments after he returned to the pitch he signalled to come off and was seen clutching his hamstring.
That will be a blow for City in their title charge as Walker has missed just two Premier League games for Pep Guardiola’s side this campaign.
The Citizens face Arsenal in their first game back from the international break and Walker will not be a doubt for that fixture.

City pair Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland were pulled from their respective national team squads this week as a precaution.
While Bukayo Saka also sat out of England’s clash with Brazil for the same reason, with Anthony Gordon making his Three Lions debut in his place.
