TNT Sports making major change to live football coverage with never-before-seen action in non-league this weekend


TNT SPORTS will shake up its broadcasting schedule this weekend to celebrate Non-League Day.

Three games from all three Vanarama National League divisions will be broadcast across the weekend.

Kings Lynn Town will host the first match of the weekend at The Walks StadiumCredit: Alamy
Chesterfield will host Boreham Wood at the SMH Group StadiumCredit: Rex

Coverage starts with King’s Lynn Town’s match against Tamworth in the National League North which is scheduled for 12:30pm GMT on Saturday.

That will be followed by the National League clash between Chesterfield and Boreham Wood, which will kick off at 3pm GMT.

The match will not come under the traditional blackout law as it is not a top-flight or Football League fixture.

Finally, the weekend of non-league action concludes with Bath City’s trip to Worthing on Sunday, kick-off scheduled for 3pm GMT.

TNT Sports pundits will speak to Worthing owner George Dowell during coverage of the match.

Dowell features in a brand-new documentary set to air on the channel later this year.

The inspirational club owner bought Worthing at the age of 22 – five years after being paralysed in a car accident.

He is now eyeing promotion with the National League South club.

Former ITV Sport host Matt Smith is set to present all three non-league matches this weekend.

In support of the ten-year anniversary of Non-League Day’s partnership with Prostate Cancer UK, TNT Sports’ on-screen team at the SMH Group Stadium, The Walks Stadium and Woodside Road will wear Prostate Cancer UK badges to mark the occasion.

Non-League Day is a yearly event that coincides with the international break.

It was introduced in 2010 to encourage fans to visit their local non-league side.
