THOMAS FRANK believes Phil Foden is England’s best chance of Ballon d’Or glory.
Foden, 23, has 15 goals and ten assists in all competitions for Manchester City this season.
Ahead of their Etihad clash, Brentford boss Frank said: “Foden is a very good player.
“He’s the closest England will get to a Ballon d’Or winner in the future. He has that potential, that level.”
Tuesday’s match was pushed back from December as City were in Saudi Arabia, winning the Club World Cup.
Foden was a hat-trick hero in the 3-1 win at the Bees 15 days ago.

“The last game, he got on the end of three situations and scored.
“He works very hard. He has a good mentality.”
Frank’s assessment comes despite Jude Bellingham coming the closest to winning the Ballon d’Or in 2023 of the current crop of English talent.
