FORMER Chelsea academy star Jared Thompson has joined National League North side Gloucester City.
Thompson, 24, joined the Blues from Swindon’s academy in 2012 and climbed the ranks before making his Under-18s debut in 2015.
The goalkeeper made 12 appearances in total for Chelsea’s U18s and kept five clean sheets.
He also won the English Youth League with the club.
Thompson appeared for the Blues in the UEFA Youth League and went on to win the prestigious competition twice.
After failing to establish his spot at Under-23s level, he was loaned out to non-league sides Chippenham Town and Warrenpoint Town.
