Iniesta won an incredible eight LaLiga titles, as well as four Champions League crowns, during his time at the Nou Camp.

And he also lifted the European Championship twice and the World Cup for Spain with his performances during his heyday making many regard him as one of the greatest of all-time.

While Scholes was achieving legendary status at United, he was often overlooked in the middle of the park by various England bosses for both Gerrard and Lampard.

And the topic of who was better out of the three has been a long-held debate.

However, Iniesta left nobody confused with who his idol was out of the three in his latest social media post.

He shared a clip of Scholes being presented with a shirt, signing it and then it being packaged up before it was presented to the Spaniard.

Along with that video, captioned it with: “Thank you so much to my friends at @icons_memorabilia for getting me a signed and personally dedicated shirt from a player I have always greatly admired, @paulscholesaaa!

“Thank you Paul and thank you Icons!”
