The race challenges Britain’s most fearless, fun-loving and foolhardy teams to prototype and create the wackiest vehicles.

The homemade soapboxes will rely solely on gravity to navigate the downhill course outside the iconic Ally Pally.

Participants will be judged on creativity, showmanship and most importantly speed as they navigate through four notable features.

These include, The Water Roller, The Wedge, The Bone Rattler and The Kicker, as well as a special feature from event partner, Unibond No More Nails.

Spectators can expect the day to be packed full of entertainment, both on and off the racetrack.

Red Bull has held over 100 Soapbox races around the world since the original in Brussels in 2000, from Australia to the USA and Italy.

Ally Pally last hosted in 2022, where 20,000 spectators descended as make-shift karts sped down the track with nothing but momentum.

Some notable vehicles included a spaceship celebrating the first man on the moon, an arcade machine and a bull.

One racer even dressed up as a 70s entertainer while driving a giant disco ball, but suffered a huge crash before the finish line.

The overall winner was Gas Gas Gas, who managed to pass through the course unscathed just ahead of second-place team BumbleBee Brawl.

Tickets are available to buy now, and team applications are open to for people to submit their most off the wall designs.

The deadline for applications is Sunday, March 31 at 11pm.
