But WWE NXT is set to return to life as a WWE Network exclusive show – with viewers able to continue watching if they pay a £9.99 monthly subscription.

TNT Sports’ final broadcast of the show will be on January 3 for NXT New Year’s Evil special, report the Metro.

However the broadcaster will continue to air other WWE shows including Smackdown and Raw events.

WWE NXT pits the best male and female amateur wrestlers against each other, who aim to become WWE’s next breakout star.

While the women’s title will be competed for by current champion Lyra Valkyria and Blair Davenport.
