Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia and Mason Mount are among the stars that have been sidelined for a significant period of time since the start of the campaign.

Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire also added to Erik ten Hag’s injury woes when they limped off during United’s 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening.

And the Daily Mail now claim that United are prepped for a huge overhaul.

An internal investigation into the club’s outdated set-up is currently underway.

It is being led by head of sports medicine Gary O’Driscoll, who joined from Arsenal earlier this year.

O’Driscoll is aiming to modernise United’s approach to the medical department.

According to the Mail, the Red Devils are looking to increase diversity within their medical team.

O’Driscoll is also keen to employ younger practitioners in a bid to implement newer methods and a forward-thinking approach, with insiders describing the current set-up as “outdated”.
