ANGEL DI MARIA has been seen in a video appearing to spit at Brazil fans.
Brazil and Argentina were involved in a heated fixture at the Maracana on Wednesday which was blighted by crowd trouble and heavy-handed policing.
And a shocking new video has now surfaced showing Argentina players in an acrimonious exchange with home fans.
In the video, Argentina players could be seen heading down the tunnel after the game was delayed as violence erupted in the stands.
Captain Lionel Messi was leading his countrymen back into the dressing room.
However, tempers flared after players were showered with beer poured from the crowd.

This prompted Benfica star Di Maria to retaliate, motioning to spit at the fans above him.
Fans online were left disgusted by the act, with one fan calling it “rotten”.
Another fan said: “Just a shame.”
Once the match started the game was hardly any cooler, with 22 fouls being committed in the first half alone.

Nicolas Otamendi scored the match-winner in the 63rd minute before Newcastle’s Joelinton was sent off for Brazil for reacting violently towards Rodrigo de Paul who had a hold of his arm.
De Paul was also involved in an argument with Brazil star Rodrygo who labelled them “cowards”.
The match was Brazil’s first ever loss on home soil in World Cup qualifiers.
Reports suggest Brazil could face a points deduction with Fifa set to launch an investigation into the crowd trouble that occurred.
