DARWIN NUNEZ had his blushes spared by Ryan Gravenberch after missing an open goal against Toulouse.
Liverpool were facing the Ligue 1 outfit in the Europa League as they romped to a 5-1 win at Anfield.
Nunez, 24, had already netted in the game as he scored the hosts’ third goal of the game before half time.
However, he had the chance to double his own tally in the 65th minute.
The striker was able to take the ball past a defender before rounding Guillaume Restes to give himself an open goal.
But it proved not to be for the Uruguayan as he hit his shot against the post.

A third said: “Nunez falling to the ground in gratitude that somebody finished after his diabolical shot off the post.”
However some joked that Nunez meant to hit the post in order to assist his team-mate.
One tweeted: “Unselfish from Darwin.”
Another joked: “Unselfish from Darwin. Used the post to give Gravenberch the goal he deserves.”
The goal is no less than what Gravenberch deserved after he was one of the top performers on the pitch.
It was not Nunez’s first shocker in Europe this season as he also produced an astonishing fluffed effort against Royal Union Saint-Gilloise.
Mohamed Salah rounded off the scoring in the 93rd minute to take Liverpool’s record to three wins from three in the Europa League.
The Reds top Group E thanks to their perfect record, five points ahead of USG and Toulouse.
