Man Utd fans say ‘Roy Keane would be proud’ at Onana’s five-word verdict on his penalty save against Copenhagen

FANS believe Andre Onana’s calm verdict on his last-gasp penalty heroics will have won over even Roy Keane.

Onana shrugged off a dodgy start to his Manchester United career with a stoppage-time save to preserve a vital 1-0 Champions League win over FC Copenhagen.

And Old Trafford legend Keane – famously hard to please as a pundit – might have beamed with delight if he’d heard the summer signing’s blunt response afterwards.

United finally picked up group points at their third attempt.

But questioned on keeping out Jordan Larsson’s spot-kick, the former Inter Milan star said: “I’m just doing my job.”

The Cameroonian did add: “We have to keep going like that, never stop”.

And that’s especially true in Europe as the Red Devils sit just third in Group A behind Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.

One fan reacted on social media: “Roy Keane would be proud of that reply by Onana.”

And despite a handful of goal-conceding errors early in his United career, another observer now claimed: “The best goalkeeper in English league.”

Many supporters were equally delighted matchwinner Harry Maguire was the other surprise saviour.

The England centre-back headed the only goal on 72 minutes.

One fan posted: “Tell you what man, seeing Maguire and Onana have their night tonight is a much needed feel good story right now. Brilliant.”

Another imagined how the duo motivated themselves.

“Onana: They haven’t seen anything. Maguire: Let’s show them! Manchester United MVPs.”

“These two deserve all the love,” claimed another.
