The result brought Birmingham’s two-game winning run to an abrupt end.
But Rooney has little time to nurse his wounds, with Hull visiting the Midlands on Wednesday.
The former England captain will be hoping for backing in the transfer window this January.

And all eyes will be on Birmingham’s clash with Leicester on December 18, with Rooney set to go up against Jamie Vardy.
