Bees land first home win of the season as stunning goals from Mbeumo and Ghoddos leave Clarets in drop zone

BRENTFORD cemented Burnley’s spot in the drop zone with a comfortable win.

Bryan Mbeumo teed up Yoane Wissa’s 25th minute opener and brilliantly killed off the Clarets himself midway through the second half.

Neal Maupay and Mathias Jensen could easily have added more goals as Burnley were largely outplayed.

And Clarets’ right-back Connor Roberts saw red on 78 minutes for his second booking, dragging back goal-bound Wissa.

And ten minutes later Saman Ghoddos rounded off victory with a glorious half-volley.

Defeat left Burnley second bottom, while the Bees are now on ten points from nine games with just their second Prem victory of the season.
