NATHAN BROADHEAD is after cut-price Ed Sheeran concert tickets after his Ipswich team-mates serenaded the singer.
The Wales forward has hit all the right notes this season with six goals in 12 games for club and country.
His latest strike came in the Dragons’ 4-0 friendly win over minnows Gibraltar in a perfect warm-up for Sunday’s crunch Euro 2024 qualifier with Croatia.
Broadhead’s Ipswich went top of the Championship for 24 hours following the 3-0 home win over Hull on October 3.
Afterwards, Sheeran – during a three-week break from his US tour – went into the dressing room where Kieran McKenna’s squad belted out his song ‘Perfect’ which has gone viral online.
Broadhead said: “I was surprised when he walked in. It’s the first time he has come into the changing room but can come whenever he wants.

“I didn’t know the words! I told one of the lads to put his song on.
“It showed the togetherness of the club and the spirit at Ipswich. Hopefully we can keep on winning and scoring goals.”
Lifelong fan Sheeran has been the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor since the 2021-22 season and also received a token League One promotion-winners medal.
Asked if Broadhead now fancied going to see Sheeran in concert after meeting him, the 25-year-old replied: “I hope so. Hopefully we can get some discounts on the tickets.

“We’ll have to send him a message to sort it out.”
Ex-Everton forward Broadhead has rose to stardom himself since his goalscoring Wales debut against Croatia back in March.
And, without Brennan Johnson and Aaron Ramsey out injured for the Group D tie in Cardiff, the six-cap attacker with two international goals under his belt, is keen to get his name on the scoresheet again.
Broadhead added: “I hope to score again. Scoring against Croatia gave me massive confidence. The feeling after that game was amazing.
“That’s the moment of my career that stands out. From that goal, I’ve scored a few for Ipswich. I’m enjoying my football.
Hopefully I can score many more goals. We need a result and that’s the aim.”
Broadhead will hope this promising season can end with Euro 2024 qualification and promotion to the Premier League.
He said: “That’s the aim for everyone in the Championship. The move from Everton to Ipswich has paid off. I was playing at Wigan and went down to League One.
“I saw the plan, the manager and the way he plays. Kieran has been massive for me.
“We are blossoming because everyone has played together for so long. Hopefully we can continue that.
“I can’t speak highly enough of him and the coaching staff at Ipswich. Everyone is together and we’re a big unit. We’ve had a great 18 months.”
Ipswich’s striker coach is Lee Grant – the ex-Derby and Manchester United goalkeeper.
Broadhead added: “He’s a really good coach for strikers. When I first went there, Kieran told me that Lee was the striker coach and I was like, ‘Oh right!’
“Then I saw the way he works and it was amazing. Goalkeepers know where they don’t want the ball to go. Top corners, hitting my shots early.

“We work every day and practice snapshots in the box and he encourages that because the keeper isn’t set.
“That’s where we get most of our goals. Last season, many teams against us played five at the back so you need those sharp shots or to shoot through people’s legs to get shots on target.”
