HARRY MAGUIRE has completely changed some Manchester United fans’ minds after his role in United’s dramatic late comeback against Brentford today.
Maguire was a surprise inclusion in the starting XI alongside Jonny Evans at the heart of the United defence amid the club’s ongoing injury crisis.
But the defender had a solid performance and could not have been blamed for Brentford’s goal which came from an Andre Onana mistake.
But his starring role came in a surprise capacity as he turned creator for Scott McTominay’s winner.
Maguire headed the ball in the direction of the Brentford goal from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick and his hoiked header was turned in by game-winner Scott McTominay.
United fans on Twitter did a complete 180 on Maguire after his assist, with one fan tweeting: “Bro has insanely stepped up his game! Hats off, Harry Maguire!”
