He was handed his first start by boss Xavi against Real Betis on Saturday.

Last week a fan tweeted the forward saying: “If Joao Felix scores, I will run naked through the Marques de Pombal roundabout.”

Felix, 23, was confident in his chances, and replied to the fan urging him to do so.

The forward subsequently opened the scoring for Barcelona, wriggling beyond goalkeeper Rui Silva before smacking the ball into the net.

With Felix having scored, the fan made good on his promise.

Named Yazor on social media, he shared a video of himself removing his clothes in a car before running around Lisbon’s Marques de Pombal roundabout in the buff.

He wrote alongside the video: “Felix, you did your part and I will do mine.”

Felix quote-tweeted the video, writing “Said and did” followed by three laughing emojis.

The Portuguese star cleverly let the ball run through his legs for Robert Lewandowski to score Barcelona’s second.

Xavi’s reigning champions then ran riot, with Ferran Torres scoring a free-kick before further strikes by Raphinha and Joao Cancelo.

After the match, the Barca boss gushed over his new Portuguese stars Cancelo and Felix.

He said: “We are talking about two players whose individual quality is beyond doubt. You see them train and you see their greatness.

“Cancelo comes from a coach (Pep Guardiola) who for me is the best and he interprets everything very well. We have spoken to him and he has understood.

“With Joao Felix we watched a video with him yesterday. They both give variants that make the team better. Physically, they are strong.

“They raise the quality of the team, which in general has been very good.”
