New pictures show progress at Everton stadium with £500m development set to be ready for next season


EVERTON’S stunning new £500million stadium is beginning to take shape, new pictures have shown.

Fans are giving Goodison Park a farewell campaign with them ready to leave their home after 132 years.

The 39,414 seater will be switched for a more modern 52,888 capacity arena.

The new ground is built on the docks of the city next to a waste water treatment plant.

It is only two miles up the road from their spiritual home.

The new stadium is also expected to become the heart of an exciting new area for the community containing shops, housing and bars and restaurants.

The Toffees will play Sheffield United on May 11 in what is currently scheduled to be the last ever match there.

Bramley-Moore Dock will be their new home.
