When attempting to find the club’s Twitter page, the handle @OfficialBHAFC apparently does not exist.

One fan said: “Chelsea even buying Brighton’s twitter now 😭.”

A second wrote: “[Todd] Boehly bought Brighton Twitter 😂.”

Brighton later got their account back and celebrated with a gif of manager Roberto De Zerbi going wild on the touchline.

Chelsea signed Moises Caicedo from Brighton for a British transfer record of £115million earlier this week.
