Despite the late cancellation, the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion was still keen to get in the ring this evening and in stepped Helenius on the week of the fight.

AJ returned to winning ways after beating Jermaine Franklin back in April following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

Meanwhile, Joshua’s opponent Robert Helenius was in action just last week beating Mika Mielonen in Finland.

‘The Nordic Nightmare’ was on the end of a brutal first-round knockout when he fought Deontay Wilder in February.
