Women’s World Cup 2023: Last-16 fixtures and results as Lionesses begin knockout stage with Nigeria clash


THE Women’s World Cup has gotten off to a thrilling start – and now spectators are eagerly awaiting the knockout stage.

In the final game of the group stage, two-time champions Germany were knocked out after failing to beat South Korea.

Elsewhere, England’s Lionesses stormed through Group D, winning every game in style.

Norway, Spain, Japan and Switzerland have also made it through to the last-16 of the Women’s World Cup.

Defending champions USA just managed to qualify for the knockout stages following a 0-0 draw with Portugal.

One of the host nations, Australia, managed to qualify, while New Zealand crashed out in the group stage.
