Paul, 26, has been hard at work in the gym ahead of his ring return and has constantly kept his legion of social media followers up to date with his training.

The Problem Child recently shared a clip of himself keeping an energy drink can up in the air with a series of speedbag punches.

He asked in his accompanying caption: “Am I the new Bruce Lee?”

But several of his 23.8million Instagram followers immediately accused him of video trickery with crafty editing.

The clip also came on the timeline of world-famous American DJ Diplo, who merely said: “Witchcraft.”

Paul’s clash with MMA legend Diaz will be his first outing since his split-decision defeat to Tommy Fury in February.

And the former Disney star plans to return to the win column in emphatic fashion.

He said: “This is a big fight, this is a fight that I wanted for a long time.

“He got out of his UFC contract and this is probably the biggest fight of the year only topping me versus Tommy.

“So I want to make big events, big fights happen and strike while the iron’s hot.

“He was a free agent, let’s run it, make it happen, settle the s*** talk.

“And I’m ready for war.
