ASTON VILLA have confirmed midfielder Morgan Sanson will join OGC Nice on a season-long loan.
The French midfielder joined from Marseille in January 2021 and since then has only made three appearances for Aston Villa.
He featured in Unai Emery’s first game against Manchester United which ended in a 3-1 win for the Villans.
He started and scored Villa’s only goal in their embarrassing FA Cup tie against League 2 side Stevenage – knocking them out the competition.
Sanson is returning to his home country after spending the last six months on loan at Strasbourg.
The loan move to OGC Nice will have an option to buy after his six-month loan period is complete.
