LEICESTER have joined the race for Blackpool striker Jerry Yates.
The £4million-rated hotshot, 26, scored 14 goals for the relegated Championship outfit last season.
Top-scorer Yates has attracted interest from Luton, West Brom, Coventry and Ipswich.
While SunSport understands a £2.5million bid has already rejected by the Tangerines.
But the Foxes are keen to snap up Yates with doubts over the futures of Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho following relegation from the Premier League.
Yates has 12 months left on his contract at Bloomfield Road with the option of another year.

Blackpool, who will be playing in League One next season, are reluctant to sell.
But the club are not planning to stand in the way of Yates playing at a higher level.
Yates claimed a hat-trick at Blackpool’s end-of-season awards after winning the Players’ Player of the Year, top scorer and goal of the season gongs.
The forward ended the campaign in the top 10 goalscorers for the Championship.
