Gary Neville jokes ‘that’s the most Tottenham thing you’ll ever see’ after three-goal comeback ruined by last-gasp gaffe

GARY NEVILLE joked “that is the most Tottenham thing that you will ever see” after Spurs were beaten 4-3 by Liverpool.

A shocking start saw Ryan Mason’s side trail 3-0 after just 15 minutes.

But goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, before a 93rd minute leveller from Richarlison, appeared to salvage a point for the visitors.

That was until an incredible finish saw Diogo Jota pop up to score at the death following a Lucas Moura error, just seconds after Richarlison’s equaliser.

Manchester United legend Neville was on Sky Sports commentary duty for the game.

And he described Spurs throwing away a point at the death as “the most Tottenham thing that you will ever see”.

The Reds grabbed the dramatic winner after Moura accidentally played the ball directly into the path of Jota, who clinically fired home past Fraser Forster.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp appeared to suffer a freak injury as he celebrated the goal.

He was seen grabbing his hamstring and limping after Jota struck.

Earlier in the game, Neville joked on commentary that Spurs would have to set up a “direct debit” to fans after going 3-0 down.

Tottenham refunded supporters who made the long trip to St. James’ Park to watch 6-1 defeat at Newcastle last week.

And some supporters appeared to leave just 15 minutes into the game at Anfield on Sunday as Mohamed Salah put the Reds 3-0 up from the penalty spot.

Speaking after the match, Spurs striker Kane told Sky Sports after the game: “That last ten seconds, it’s hard to put into words how that happens and why that happens.

“But we have to just move on from it and try and get ready for next week.”
