Arsenal U18s starlet Reuell Walters ‘does a Zinchenko’ as he gathers team-mates for on-field huddle after West Ham goal

ARSENAL youngster Reuell Walters channelled his inner Oleksandr Zinchenko to gather his team-mates in a mid-game huddle.

The U18s starlet called the young Gunners together on the pitch during the 5-1 FA Youth Cup final defeat to West Ham on Tuesday.

Despite the crushing defeat, Walters, 18, impressed with his performance.

It was the defender’s surging run forward that helped set up Omari Benjamin to put Arsenal ahead in the seventh minute.

And Walters also showed his leadership skills by gathering the players together in a huddle when West Ham went 3-1 up thanks to an outrageous lob from Gideon Kodua.

He called his team-mates over and spoke to them in front of the 34,127 crowd at the Emirates.

Ultimately the young Gunners ended up losing the game 5-1.

But Walters echoed shades of Zinchenko from just days earlier on the same pitch as he pulled his team into a huddle.

And while his talk didn’t quite have the desired effect, fans on social media were left gushing over his performance.

One gushed on Twitter: “I hope Arteta is watching Reuell Walters.”

Another said: “Reuell Walters is quality!! #FAYouthCup.”

And a third excited supporter gushed: “Reuell Walters, we’ve got another one.”

Zinchenko called a mid-game inquest for the first-team in Friday’s 3-3 draw against Southampton.

The Ukrainian star tried to rally his team-mates after they fell 2-0 down to the Saints.

Gabriel Martinelli quickly pulled one back after Zinchenko’s talk, before Duje Caleta-Car headed Southampton 3-1 in front.

Late goals from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka then rescued a point for the Premier League leaders, who travel to Manchester City on Wednesday for a mammoth title decider.
