I saw Wayne Rooney dancing at David Beckham’s party days after breaking metatarsal before 2006 World Cup – I was fuming

NO England fan can forget the horrible moment Wayne Rooney almost missed the 2006 World Cup.

And only a miraculous recovery allowed Rooney to briefly feature for the Three Lions in Germany.

However, one man claims Roo’s foot break wasn’t stopping the striker from enjoying other pursuits.

That’s because he says he saw the Red Devils legend DANCING at David Beckham’s party soon after the foot break.

The tour manager of KSI and Calfreezy, John, told JaackMaate’s Happy Hour podcast that he was working at the bash as projections organiser.

The swanky do was hosted by none other than David Beckham, who was playing for Real Madrid at the time.

And despite making headlines across the country for his World Cup being in serious doubt, Rooney turned up to enjoy the festivities.

Not only that, John claims he saw Rooney busting out his best dance moves in scenes that shocked footy lovers who were present.

John said: “They [England footballers] were all there.

“There’s Rooney, and as I say because he’d hurt his toe he couldn’t play.

“To his absolute credit at the time he was one of the best strikers on the planet and the fact that he couldn’t go.

“There he was on the dance floor hoofing it away. Me and a load of others were like ‘what the f**k?’.

“Really? And yet you can’t go put your boots on and do a bit for England — w***er!.”

Rooney was declared fit for the 2006 World Cup just two days before Sven Goran Eriksson’s squad announcement.

He was not fit enough to feature in the first group stage game, a 1-0 win over Paraguay.

But Rooney did come off the bench in the next game, a 2-0 victory against Trinidad and Tobago.

Rooney then got a start in the final clash, which was a 2-2 draw with Sweden.

He also lined up the 1-0 last-16 win against Ecuador.

But his tournament, and England’s, famously came to an end in the quarters against Portugal.

Rooney was sent off for stamping on Chelsea’s Ricardo Carvalho, and England eventually crashed out on penalties.
