Luke Shaw comes off injured and heads straight down tunnel against Brentford in worrying blow for Man Utd


LUKE SHAW gave Manchester United fans a reason to worry as he hobbled off against Brentford.

The defender headed straight down the tunnel in the 37th minute of the Premier League fixture.

Shaw was replaced by Tyrell Malacia by manager Erik ten Hag.

As the Red Devils’ defender made his exit from the pitch he was seen holding his hamstring.

It is an unfortunate blow for Shaw who was making his 250th appearance for the club.

The defender only recently extended his stay the club by signing a new contract.

And fans were quick to share their worry for the defender on social media.

One Tweeted: “Luke Shaw off and straight down the tunnel on his 250th app, hoping precautionary.”

A second commented: “Luke Shaw please don’t get injured.”

A third wrote: “Pulling his hamstring two days after signing a new deal is so painfully Luke Shaw.”

United were ahead when Shaw exited through Marcus Rashford’s strike.

And Erik ten Hag’s side held on for a 1-0 victory – their first win since February – to boost their top four hopes.
