Jack Grealish reveals he was in the toilet at half-time after being sick all morning before Man of the Match performance


JACK GREALISH was puking his guts up minutes before helping Manchester City turn over Liverpool.

The defending champions ran riot against the Merseysiders in the second half of their mouthwatering clash at the Etihad, running out 4-1 winners.

England international Grealish was the star of the show, stopping Mohamed Salah from doubling the visitors’ early lead with a goal-saving tackle in the 25th minute.

And two minutes later, the winger set up Joel Alvarez to score City’s crucial equaliser.

Grealish capped off his Man of the Match performance with a goal in the 74th minute, which was made even more special by the fact he was throwing up during the half-time interval.

He told BT Sport: “I was in the toilets [at half time], man. I felt sick. But I was buzzing in the end. I feel alright now.”

City fans couldn’t quite comprehend a sick Grealish’s stunning display after puking up the contents of his stomach.

One said: “So he balled, took a shit, came back and balled again. Baller.”

Another said: “Jack Grealish was sick all morning and he still delivered THAT performance? Damn.”

Grealish is loving his football at the moment, saying: ” I love it, man. I love football, I love playing, I love training.

“When it’s going like this, there’s nothing better. I feel back to my normal self.

“I’m playing with confidence, I feel fit. Scoring and getting the assist is perfect.”

Grealish was proud as punch with his match-winning performance, which he reckons will result in manager Pep Guardiola giving him a few days off.

He said: “I’ve got to love you and leave you. I need to go in the changing room and see how many days off.”

Title-chasing City will be back in action next Saturday, travelling to St Mary’s to take on relegation battlers Southampton.
