Mikel Arteta’s side sit eight points clear of champions Manchester City in the Prem title race – albeit with Pep Guardiola’s men possessing a game in hand.

Arsenal are aiming to win their first league crown since 2004.

Fans that want to purchase tickets second hand currently have to pay more than a grand to do so.

Usually, the most expensive ticket – in the Centre Upper – is £131.

While Arsenal fans are giddy with excitement, supporters of other teams joked that some will be paying a fortune to watch their team come second.

One responded: “To watch Man City lift the trophy on the big screen?”

And a third commented: “That’s a lot of money to watch them lift nothing.”

Another added: “Who’s going to pay that much to sit with the gods especially when City will be 9 pts clear aswell.”

Arsenal fans, on the other hand, are not impressed with those flogging their seats for big money.

One tweeted: “Everyone who sells a ticket for more than 50% above face value should be fined…”

While a second added: “Its a shame really the working class getting frozen out of the sport that they make soo special.”

A third confidently wrote: “The PL will be decided before that game.”
