MASON GREENWOOD was not shy in berating his Manchester United team-mates and even declared Cristiano Ronaldo’s career was “dead”, according to reports.
The 21-year-old forward had an astronomical rise through the United ranks from the academy to the first team.
And according to The Athletic, his established confidence even at the age of 16 saw him brutally criticise team-mates, both current and future.
The report states Greenwood “could be brutal with his choice of words when dismissing the credentials of boys not on his level”.
A source told the outlet: “He knew he was a good player and was cutting, he wasn’t shy about telling someone they were s***. When you hear that you’d think, ‘Can’t be talking like that’.”
This criticism even saw him dig out legendary forward Ronaldo while he was still at Real Madrid, saying “he’s dead”, implying Ronaldo’s career was finished.

The report adds that staff “corrected him”, while putting the comments down to “youthful delusion”.
Greenwood’s career hit the skids in January 2022 when he was arrested after a woman made allegations against him.
He was charged with attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour.
He appeared before magistrates and was told he would face trial later this year.
