Greg Halford trolled by website for married cheats as he’s sent off on return to pitch after very public split from ex


A DATING site for married people looking to play away aimed a cheeky dig at former Premier League star Greg Halford.

The 38-year-old went viral on social media last week after throwing his “cheating” ex-partner’s belongings out of a window.

He returned to the pitch today for non-league side Hashtag United.

The Isthmian League North Division outfit, owned by YouTube star Spencer Owen, won 3-2 at Wroxham.

And dating side IllicitEncounters.com rented out an advertising hoarding in prime position for the match, right next to the halfway line.

The website is for married people “looking for a little romance outside their current relationship”.

They trolled former the former Wolves, Sunderland and  Reading man with the wording of their board.

It cheekily referenced Halford’s video where he threw his ex-partner’s belongings out of the window.

The message read: “Discreet cheating. Where getting caught goes out of the window.”

He was pictured in front of the board while in action for the non-league side, wearing the No15 shirt.

To make matters worse, Halford was sent off during the match for two bookable offences.

But Hashtag United still held on to win the game 3-2 and stay second in the league.

Halford’s original video showed him throwing various belongings out of a window, and has been viewed over 5million times on Twitter.

He captioned the post: “Been far, far too long but finally clearing out the cheating c*** ex stuff.”

In his career Halford made 29 Premier League appearances, and was capped four times at under-20 level by England.
