DAVID BECKHAM made a bizarre getaway after braving the elements to watch son Romeo make his debut for Brentford’s second string.
Becks’ middle son inked a loan deal with the Londoners from Inter Miami II last week, much to the surprise of many.
Romeo, 20, made his bow in the reserve Bees’ clash with non-league Erith & Belvedere – who play in the NINTH tier of English football.
Doting Dad David, 47, braved the pouring rain to watch his son come on as a second-half substitute in the London Senior Cup clash – wearing an expensive-looking navy waterproof jacket.
But the former England skipper seemingly wasn’t keen on dealing with the endless requests for selfies and handshakes from the deluge of fans around him.
So he channelled his inner Bear Grylls by climbing out of the stand before jumping over a fence to make his getaway from Park View Road.

He was, however, hardly subtle with his unplanned exit – which was watched by many of the 554 fans in attendance.
After climbing out of the stand, a hooded Becks hauled himself over a wooden fence and waded through some prickly bushes to make his escape.
David’s Great Escape was seemingly a success as he wasn’t seen again leaving the stand.
Although it may very well have been a costly detour if his expensive-looking jacket was damaged by the bushes.

Although Romeo didn’t get on the scoresheet, he payed a key role to help his side to a dramatic 3-2 win against Erith.
Romeo signed with Brentford after impressing the Prem outfit during a prolonged stint training with them.
The right-sided midfielder will remain the Bees until the end of the season and is hopeful of catching the eye of manager Thomas Frank.
He said: “I’m very proud and very happy to be here.
“I came here at the start to keep fit during the off season.
“The chance then came to come on loan here and I’ve never been so excited.
“It was a fun season [in the USA] and there were a lot of ups and downs.
“But I’m excited to come here and see what I can do.”
When pressed on training with the B-team, he added: “I’ve loved it.
“They’re such nice boys and have good energy.
“I love coming in every day seeing them and getting to train every day with them is fun.
“They are all very talented players, and they drive me to be even better in myself.
“A few of them give me some kicks and I give them back, but we all come into work hard to get better in ourselves and the coaches drive that.
“They’ve [MacFarlane and Saunders] helped me massively over the last couple of months and I’m excited to see what else they can help me with to really progress in football.

“If you look at Brentford as a club, it’s very positive and it’s a club that is on the rise very quickly.
“I’m very grateful to be here.”
