‘Totally unnoticed’ – Eden Hazard brutally mocked by fourth-division player after shocking performance for Real Madrid

EDEN HAZARD has been mocked following his poor display during Real Madrid’s narrow victory over fourth-division opponents.

The Champions League winners faced off against Cacereno in the Copa del Rey winding up 1-0 winners after a closer affair than anticipated.

Eden Hazard has had a tough time in Spain since making the move from Chelsea.

Hazard was the centre of attention following the game after he put in another shocking performance in a Madrid shirt.

The former Chelsea man has failed to live up to his £100million price tag since moving to the Bernabeu.

The 31-year-old was hooked off in the 67th minute after failing to have an influence on the game.

The match changed following his substitution with Rodrygo scoring the winning goal just two minutes after Hazard left the pitch.

After the finial whistle his performance was slammed by one of the opposition players.

Carmelo Mereciano, Cacereno’s winger, spoke to Spanish outlet Diario AS.

He said: “Hazard? It was like he didn’t care about the game,

“He didn’t want to take the ball, he didn’t run. He was totally unnoticed.”

Mereciano wasn’t the only person to tear apart Hazard’s game as fans took to social media to share their opinions on his poor turnout.

One said: “If Eden Hazard has some self dignity, he should start looking for a club.”

The former Belgium captain has only managed seven goals in 73 appearances for Real Madrid since making his move.

Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, tried to offer a defence of Hazard’s performance after the game pointing at the poor quality Cacereno’s pitch.

He said: “You can’t play football [when playing on Cacereno’s pitch]. For me it’s not football, it’s another sport.

“It’s nice because small teams can fight and compete with bigger teams. It’s good for the fans, but the fans also want to see beautiful matches.

“’I liked [Hazard]. It’s difficult to evaluate players individually, it was impossible to play. Smaller players like Hazard or Rodrygo suffer more, but he delivered.”
