Fans all say the same thing as Son Heung-min puts in horror cross for Tottenham at Crystal Palace

SON HEUNG-MIN was mocked for a horror cross at Crystal Palace – but silenced his critics with a goal in the 4-0 win.

Before Wednesday’s game, the 30-year-old has had a poor campaign for Spurs, scoring just three and assisting two in the Premier League.

Spurs have also been notoriously slow starters under Antonio Conte this term, and found themselves fifth in the table and five points behind fourth-place Manchester United before kick-off.

Son’s hopes of helping his team score the opener went up in flames in the first half after his horror cross went so high the ball needed an “oxygen mask”.

Son cut a dejected figure afterwards and it has fans all saying the same thing: It was the worst cross EVER.

One fan said on Twitter: “Son cuts a dejected figure after ballooning a cross so high the ball needs an oxygen mask on its return to earth.

A third quipped: “Nah man. What’s happened to Son. That cross.”

While a fourth reported that Son’s cross landed in his back garden.

Harry Kane handed Spurs the lead in the second half.

The England captain then grabbed a second to steer Spurs’ top-four aspirations back on course.

Full-back Matt Doherty scored Tottenham’s third with a well-placed finish before Son silenced his critics with a goal of his own.

The win pushes Tottenham within two points of fourth-placed Man Utd.
