Germany star Serge Gnabry names his all-time XI of team-mates and includes just three former Arsenal pals

GERMANY star Serge Gnabry has included two former Arsenal team-mates in his all-time best line-up.

The Bayern Munich winger played for the Gunners between 2012-2016 before completing a permanent move to Werder Bremen.

He also had loan spells at West Brom and Hoffenheim, but no players from those three clubs make Gnabry’s best XI.

Unsurprisingly, the eleven is mostly comprised of Germany and Bayern Munich players, with some stars playing for both such as Manuel Neuer, who is Gnabry’s pick in goal.

Also included in that category are midfield duo Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka, as well as left winger Leroy Sane.

There is also an Arsenal theme running through the side with former midfield dynamo Mesut Ozil picked in an attacking midfield role.

Gnabry made nine Premier League appearances in Ozil’s debut season in North London, 2013-14, before joining West Brom the following season.

That meant he played just one game with Hector Bellerin, who he has selected at right-back.

The pair played for Arsenal youth teams together and also featured in a League Cup third round match against the Baggies in 2013.

Another Gunners defender Per Mertersacker also makes an appearance and is accompanied in the heart of defence by David Alaba.

The former Bayern star now plies his trade for Real Madrid and has also played in midfield and at left-back during his career.

Alphonso Davies, who scored Canada’s first ever World Cup goal against Croatia on Saturday, is Gnabry’s right-back of choice.

Ahead of him is Bayern team-mate Sane with Kingsley Coman operating on the other flank.

That leaves former Bayern goal machine Robert Lewandowski as Gnabry’s choice up-front.
