A MAN has been arrested after allegedly stabbing and killing Ian Wright’s pal with a piece of glass during a fight.
Police raced to Richmond Bridge around 4am on Saturday after reports a fight had broken out.
When they arrived they found Reece Newcombe, 31, fighting for his life.
The boxer was rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Officers believed he had been stabbed with a piece of glass.
Reece helped train Wright, 59, among other famous names for a charity boxing match.

The cops have today arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of his murder.
The man remains in police custody.
Police are now urging people who watched the fight unfold to come forward.
As well as training Wright, the dad-of-one, from Feltham, West London, also taught actor Jack O’Connell, who recently starred in the drama ‘SAS: Rogue Heroes.’

His heartbroken family wrote on social media: “This is the hardest thing for us to write.
“We are truly heartbroken at the loss of our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin.
“Words cannot describe our grief. Our family is broken and never will be the same again without Reece’s larger than life personality.
“As a family, we will make sure his darling daughter Misse will know all about her Daddy and how much he loved her and how much he was loved by everyone.”
They added: “We appreciate everyone’s love and support. RIP our beloved Reecey Bear.”
Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin, who is leading the investigation, said today: “Anyone who has yet to speak with police is urged to come forward immediately.
“We believe a number of people watched the incident unfold and some onlookers may have recorded footage on their mobile phones.
“I need to hear from all of these people.”
