FOOTBALL fans are shocked to learn a little-known fact about Manchester United and England star Harry Maguire.
Everyone knows he cost the Red Devils an eye-watering £80million, some know he started his career at Sheffield United, but few know his real name.
Yes, Harry is not actually his first name, but his middle name.
Maguire’s first name is Jacob, but he has gone by Harry from an early age.
The United centre-back, 29, has also gone by the affectionate nickname “Slabhead” – earned thanks to his aerial prowess as well as his rather large skull.
Fans were amused to discover Maguire’s real name after taking a peak at his Wikipedia profile.

Another added: “It sounds so weird.”

Maguire started England’s 6-2 win against Iran on Monday before he was subbed off after feeling unwell.

But he trained with the rest of the Three Lions today ahead of tomorrow’s second group game against USA.
James Maddison was the only one of Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad missing from Thursday’s session.

Maddison has been training on his own as he continues to recover from a knee injury picked up in the final Premier League game before the World Cup.
