STEVENAGE striker Danny Rose scored the cheekiest of goals to earn his side victory over Hartlepool on Saturday.
Rose continued his excellent form by scoring his fourth goal in five games.
The late strike helped Stevenage claim a crucial three points in their pursuit of Leyton Orient at the top of League Two.
And the winner was down to Rose’s improvisation.
Pools keeper Ben Killip rolled the ball out, with Rose stealing in to nick it from behind him.
He then composed himself before rounding Killip and slotting into the empty net, much to the delight of the home fans and the embarrassment of the goalkeeper.

Hartlepool boss Keith Curle sympathised with his goalkeeper by saying: “Ben is in there with his shirt over his head. He’s absolutely mortified.
“He appreciates and respects the effort that’s gone on in front of him with the 10 outfield players.
“But I very quickly reminded the players that Ben has kept us in a lot of games.”
Rose admitted: “I’ve done it once before, at Bury about six or seven years ago, but it wasn’t as well timed as that.”

“I was on the blind side of the keeper after the cross and I just stayed in the goal.
“I did think he was going to spot me but he didn’t and then I’ve pounced and managed to put it in the back of the net.
“I don’t feel sorry for him, he’s got to check where he is and I can’t wait to watch that one back.
“I don’t really watch the goals back but that one I will.”
