BENFICA youth goalkeeper Samuel Soares scored a once-in-a-lifetime goal from inside his own half against Trofense.
The Portuguese giants found themselves 1-0 down in the second half of the Segunda Liga fixture.
But a moment of genius drew Benfica level with goalkeeper Soares, 20, taking matters into his own hands.
The shot-stopper controlled the ball well outside his own penalty area and punted a long kick towards the opposition’s goal.
Soares’ strike cannoned off the crossbar and hit the goalkeeper before nestling in the back of the net.
Wild scenes followed with subs spilling onto the pitch and the keeper celebrating near the halfway line.
