Arsenal fans all say the same thing as wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri scores twice in nine minutes against Man Utd for U18s

ARSENAL youngster Ethan Nwaneri has caught the attention of Gunners fans once more after scoring twice for the U18s side against Manchester United.

The teenager caught the attention of the Premier League back in September when he made history as the youngest ever player to feature in the competition at the age of just 15.

He came on for Mikel Arteta’s men in the 90th minute of their 3-0 win over Brentford in September.

Since then, Nwaneri is yet to feature again for the first team but is continuing to impress for the academy side.

And that culminated in a quickfire brace on Saturday as he pulled the Gunners from 2-1 down to lead 3-2 against Man Utd’s youngsters.

Goals in the 62nd and 71st minute put Arsenal in front, before a mazy run ended with Nwaneri clipping the ball just wide of the post as a hat-trick went begging.

He was then forced off with an injury with five minutes remaining, before United equalised late on to ensure the match finished 3-3.

But Arsenal supporters focused on Nwaneri after the game and were gushing in their praise for the teenage prodigy.

Reacting on social media, one excited fan said: “U18 is too easy for him.”

Another added: “The next thing coming for the first team.”

A third said: “Don’t let him go anywhere.”

And a fourth added to the praise, saying: “Yesss, this is why we wanted to show him off in the Premier League… to make him known 💪.”

Nwaneri has now contributed four goals and three assists in just five league matches for the U18s so far this season.

And in the years to come he will be hoping to thrive in Arteta’s squad in the same way many current stars are under the Spaniard.
