Anthony Joshua looks sharp in slick suit as heavyweight star attends Best of Africa awards with pals


ANTHONY JOSHUA dressed up to the nines as he headed to the Best of Africa awards with his pals.

The heavyweight star, 32, donned a smart white shirt and bow tie.

Joshua took to Instagram to post a video of himself suited and booted for the event.

The Watford warrior looked sharp as he matched his slick suit with a pair of sunglasses.

The BoA awards celebrate the achievements from those of African and Pan African heritage.

Joshua himself is of Nigerian descent.

The two-time world heavyweight champion has the continent of Africa tattooed on his right shoulder, with Nigeria outlined.

Joshua scooped an award at the black tie event and posed for a picture alongside retired footballer and fellow award winner Adebayo Akinfenwa.

AJ was joined by his pals at the glitzy awards show, held in London.

Boxing fans had been hoping Joshua would return from two defeats to Oleksandr Usyk with a mouthwatering December fight against Tyson Fury.

After the pair agreed to face each other, the Gypsy King pulled the plug on the bout after claiming AJ missed the deadline to sign a contract.

And Fury now reckons he will NEVER come to blows with Joshua in the ring.

When asked if he believed he will ever fight AJ, Fury told Behind The Gloves: “Nah. I’ve tried to make this fight for about four years and there’s always been something stopping it.

“If they’re not gonna fight, they’re not gonna fight, I’m not gonna waste any more time.”
