The Sky Sports pundit said: “He’s not just City’s, he is the Premier League’s.

“That’s what it feels like to me. It felt like that when he joined it was something to be enjoyed by the whole Premier League.”

Former Oasis singer Gallagher, however, claims Haaland belongs entirely to his beloved Man City.

Comparing Neville and Carragher to a pair of muppets, he tweeted: “Man City have signed Erling Halland he’s ours not the premiere leagues (sic) so what’s all this WE snizzle coming out of Bert n Ernies traps on MNF Bumbaclarts.”

Neville, 47, had just waxed lyrical about the 22-year-old striker, saying: “He’s one of those players that I would say if you get an opportunity as a football fan to get a ticket in the ground where he’s playing, go and watch him.”

Although Carra will have irritated Gallagher and other City fans, when he cheekily quipped: “You can get them at City can’t you?”

Neville replied: “That was a sneaky one, you’d expect that from me.”

And he then added: “On a serious note you could go watch Ronaldo, go and watch Messi, go watch something that’s just completely, you know – it’s like a one-off type opportunity to watch a player and that’s what Erling Haaland is. He is exceptional.”

Haaland has started his City career with an astonishing 17 goals in ten competitive outings.

These include 14 Prem strikes in eight appearances including THREE hat-tricks.

Still not satisfied, however, Haaland blasted his “sloppy” side after their 6-3 win over United.

He said: “It could have been more. In the second half we should have been tighter, worked a bit harder, because it was a bit sloppy at times.

“We lost the second half and this is not good, so we still have to work.”
