MANCHESTER UNITED suffered a heavy defeat to rivals Manchester City at the Etihad.
United’s four-match winning streak in the Premier League came to a crushing end courtesy of Erling Haaland and co.
Haaland made history by becoming the first ever Prem player to score a hat-trick in three consecutive home games.
Phil Foden added to the Red Devils’ misery with a hat-trick of his own for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Antony’s strike and Anthony Martial’s brace eased the blow for Erik ten Hag’s men, but not by much.

DAVID DE GEA – 5
Had harsh words with those in front of him for lack of protection when the score was only 2-0 but by the end of it all he was as lost for words as dumbstruck boss Erik ten Hag
DIAGO DALOT – 4
Paid the penalty for being booked inside the first two minutes for clipping Jack Grealish – spent the rest of his afternoon watching the £100million attacker dart here there and everywhere
RAPHAEL VARANE – 4
Not just outmuscled but outthought by Erling Halland before going off injured just before the break – some might say he looked relieved as he headed down the tunnel
LISANDRO MARTINEZ – 3
Had the nickname of the Butcher of Amsterdam when he arrived from Ajax but the central defender was left looking like chopped liver as City tore their opponents to bits

TYRELL MALACIA – 3
For his information, Phil Foden was wearing 47 on his back. The shattered left-back wouldn’t know because he never got close enough to his direct opponent to find out
SCOTT McTOMINAY – 4
Outjumped by Erling Haaland as the striker headed home his first goal and as a holding midfielder never got anywhere near suggesting he could handle that job description
CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN – 4
Played in a withdrawn role behind his side’s middle three and that’s how he remained, his attempts to fire 40-yard cross-balls desperate telegraphs from the red trenches
ANTONY – 5
Who would have thought he was worth £83m? Nobody of a blue persuasion for sure for he was anonymous amidst the carnage although he did fire home a brilliant 56th minute strike
BRUNO FERNANDES – 5
Tried desperately to create some cohesion in attack but too often found no one to pass to with his team-mates fully occupied in trying to plug holes all over the pitch

JADON SANCHO – 3
Spent most of the day as a by-stander on the left flank before being replaced by Fred and not unlike Raphael Varane before him looked like he couldn’t wait to get on bench
MARCUS RASHFORD – 4
Made a couple of determined runs to try to utilise boss Erik ten Hag’s only attacking option of long through-balls but the supply lines to the isolated striker were cut off fast
SUBS:
ANTHONY MARTIAL – 6
Took over from Marcus Rashford on 59 minutes and rattled home a double late on
LUKE SHAW – 4
Came on for Tyrell Malacia on 46minutes
VICTOR LINDELOF – 4
Replaced the injured Raphael Varane after 40 minutes
FRED – 4
The midfielder was introduced on 70 minutes when he replaced Jadon Sancho
CASEMIRO – 5
The Real Madrid great came on for Scott McTominay in the 59th minute
