Antony has previously revealed Ronaldo is his idol.
He was given a standing ovation from Ronaldo and Co after his goal scoring debut.
The new signing took to social media to praise CR7 posting on his Instagram story a picture of him leaving the field for Ronaldo.
He captioned the post “Idolo” which translates as ‘idol’ alongside the love heart and fist bump emojis.
Antony will have to act out Ronaldo’s teachings while the legendary forward mans Erik ten Hag’s bench.
Ronaldo has started just two games this season.
His last start came on Thursday in the 1-0 Europa League loss to Real Sociedad.
