And bizarrely, one of Tosun’s teammates was then SENT OFF for apprehending the violent supporter as security watched on.

Yesterday’s Super Lig thriller saw the match poised at 2-2 before a 74th minute penalty from ex-Tottenham winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou sealed the win for visitors Besiktas.

Tensions were high at the final whistle when Ankaragucu’s Marlon Xavier was sent off for a late foul.

And for one home supporter, it was just too much to handle.

He leaped onto the pitch before charging at full pace towards the centre circle where teams from both sides were shaking hands with the officials.

Taking aim at Besiktas midfielder Salih Ucan, the fan did his best Bruce Lee imitation as he threw himself into a no-holds-barred flying kick.

However, Tosun – who had not seen the supporter – happened to step in front of his path, taking the full force of the blow.

Besiktas players furiously apprehended the thug, with midfielder Josef de Souza throwing him to the floor as security dawdled over from the sidelines.

But the referee was not impressed with how the Brazilian handled the situation and incredibly sent him off for taking decisive action.

Tosun was left incensed afterwards, claiming the flying kick could have ended the career of intended target Salih.

The former Toffees striker also hit out at the decision to send off De Souza, and questioned why security and police did nothing to stop the supporter from making his way to the centre circle unheeded.

Tosun blasted: “Whether you win the game or lose it, it doesn’t matter.

“We got three very important points today but’s it’s an event that shouldn’t have happened.

“I took a step that got lucky. Maybe if I hadn’t taken that step, that kick would have reached Salih’s waist and his life as a footballer could have ended.

“I didn’t understand the red card given to Josef. There are so many police and security, how come the fans can come to us and intervene with a kick?

“How does it work? We have to let them hit us and wait? Without protecting? We get a red card when we protect ourselves.

“Josef received a red card today. One of our best players won’t be with us for three or four matches because of such a fan.”
