RICHARLISON may think twice about showboating in the future after he was wiped out by Brennan Johnson during Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest.

The Brazilian came on as a second half substitute in the victory at the City Ground where he made an instant impact for the visitors.

Introduced in the 74th minute for Son Heung-min, the 25-year-old delivered a delicious assist with the outside of his right foot for Harry Kane’s second of the match.

Full of confidence after his magical cross, Richarlison decided to do kick-ups five minutes from the end of the match.

Forest forward Johnson was having none of it as he took out the ex-Everton ace with a late tackle which earned him a yellow card.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was on co-commentary duty on Sky Sports as he criticised the 2019 Copa America winner over his actions.

He yelled: “What’s he doing? He’s taken the game away from Nottingham Forest, the games won.

“He just winds people up that lad, he winds me up. What do you expect Johnson to do?

“You’re not condoning that, big Premier League game passions are high and then someone starts taking the mick.”

Spurs boss Antonio Conte was asked about Richarlison’s showboating antics and whether he was being disrespectful to Forest in his post-match press conference.

To which he said: “At the moment I was with the bench because I was making another substitution.

“I think he juggled with the ball. It is a game and you are under pressure. I repeat it is OK.

“I don’t think Richy wanted to show disrespect to Nottingham Forest.

“Forest are a really good team with a great history in football and we have great respect.

“Richy for sure thinks in the same way. Not disrespectful for anyone and I can tell you this.”
