MARCUS RASHFORD apologised for swearing after his crucial goal against Liverpool.
The Red Devils forward, 24, grabbed Manchester United’s second in Monday’s 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
And after tucking coolly beyond Alisson for his fifth goal against the arch rivals, emotions were understandably running high for the academy graduate.
United shared a clip of the finish and subsequent celebrations on their social media channels on Wednesday morning.
But Mr Nice Guy Rashford quickly shared the post and sheepishly tweeted: “Please excuse my language it was just in the heat of the moment,” followed by a laughing emoji.
Although the bad language is not audible on the clip, the England star clearly knows he dropped an expletive amid the jubilant scenes as he did a knee slide then slammed down the corner flag before being mobbed by his team-mates.

Rashford is widely adored and appreciated by football fans and beyond as a Three Lions star but also for his tireless campaigning for the disadvantaged young people in communities which saw him awarded an MBE.
His match-winning strike against the Reds was his first in the Premier League since January.
However, if it was scored in the 2020-21 season, it would have been chalked off by VAR.
The stills analysed showed Rashford was just offside when Anthony Martial played the ball through for his fellow forward to race on to.

However, because of the lines between Rashford and Liverpool defender Joe Gomez touching, it is now deemed too close to call and therefore the benefit of the doubt is given to the attacker.
And it is exactly the sort of composed finishing – missing from Rashford’s game in recent months – that led to speculation linking him to a shock transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
United did not want to sell the player they value at £120million, though, and it is easy to see why with Monday’s massive goal – personally and for the club.
