BORUSSIA DORTMUND could offer Cristiano Ronaldo a new way out of Manchester United, according to reports.
Ronaldo, 37, expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford last month, less than one year after making a sensational return.
He was claimed to be disappointed with the club’s poor 2021-22 campaign which saw them finish sixth in the Premier League table and without any silverware.
United boss Erik ten Hag was initially reluctant to let him go, but he has since had a change of heart and is now willing to consider suitable offers.
Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon, Chelsea, Inter Milan and AC Milan have all been linked with a potential swoop, but a move has failed to materialise.
However, Borussia Dortmund have now expressed an interest in signing the superstar.

According to CBS Sports, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is currently working on a deal which could see the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner experience his first stint in the Bundesliga.
Dortmund are currently holding internal talks to discuss the possibility of a late proposal, with Mendes encouraging a bid.
The German giants are keen to add another attacker to their ranks with Sebastien Haller set to be out for several months after being diagnosed with a testicular tumour.
Sources close to Ronaldo are now claiming that a move to Borussia Dortmund could be his “last option” before the transfer window closes next month.
