TOTTENHAM are on the verge of signing Blackburn Rovers defender Ashley Phillips, according to reports.
The 17-year-old has attracted interest from some of England’s biggest clubs over the past year, including Spurs.
Earlier this year, SunSport revealed that Antonio Conte and his staff were keen to pursue a deal for the young star, who has already been promoted to Blackburn’s first team.
And a move could finally be on the cards with Tottenham’s Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici expected to give the green light.
According to The Daily Mail, Paratici will attend Blackburn’s Championship clash with Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Wednesday.
He will then look to strike a deal with Rovers chiefs as Spurs prepare an offer of around £3million.

Manchester United and Chelsea have also expressed an interest in the defender, but neither club has made an offer.
Tottenham have already introduced seven new players this summer including Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence.
On Tuesday, Spurs confirmed the arrival of Italian wing-back Destiny Udogie from Udenise.
