Fans are all saying the same thing as Man Utd wear lime green third kit ‘the same colour as the pitch’ versus Brentford

MANCHESTER UNITED have kicked off their second game of the Erik ten Hag era – but rather than the dire performance it is the kit which has got fans all saying the same thing.

United unveiled a lime green kit earlier this week, with fans not responding too well.

And today United have donned the kit for their visit to Brentford.

But fans have noticed the kit looks eerily similar to the pitch due to the beaming sun.

One user took to Twitter and said: “Man United’s third kit doesn’t look bad in a studio but on the pitch?

“Especially on a sunny afternoon, it’s basically camouflage on the football pitch!”

One fan joked: “Man Utd is actually so bad this season that they had to make up a third kit to blend in so they could have a chance.”

Another added: “This Man United third kit looks like the carpet. Poor kit for those watching on tv.”

A fourth chose to highlight United’s poor performances: “Very fitting that Man Utd have gone green for the third kit.

“Should be the away kit IMO. We go missing so often that the players can now camouflage in the brighter grass patches.”

United started their campaign in the worst possible way with a 2-1 loss to Brighton.

However, they now look set to produce a far more embarrassing result with the score against Brentford currently 4-0 inside the opening 40 minutes.

A shocking error from David de Gea saw Brentford open the scoring, before his pass to an under pressure Christian Eriksen saw the former Brentford man dispossessed for United to concede again.

A set piece then undone United once again with Lisandro Martinez unable to compete with Ben Mee at the far post.

A swift counter-attack from Thomas Frank’s side then saw them score a fourth, with United unable to muster even a modicum of fight in response.
